At every visit to our hygiene department, you will receive the most comprehensive periodontal evaluation and customized treatment available. We will evaluate your oral health, home care techniques, and any new products on the market that may help you sustain optimum health. As is standard of care, you will have a perio charting (also called a gum map) completed and reviewed at each visit. We will look at the health of the tissues surrounding the teeth, and discuss any changes you might consider making to your nutrition or hygiene routine.

Our system for discovery and treatment of periodontal issues gives each practitioner the ability to offer the ultimate treatment available to each patient. Because we feel it is our responsibility to offer all the information and resources we have and know about to each patient, office visit time is an obvious issue. Not only is the procedure customized for your needs, but your appointment time and length will also be made to fit your needs and your schedule.

Hygiene visits are not only to maintain a shiny, white smile, but to protect your teeth, your mouth, and your body from infection and disease. It is important to prevent oral infections by regular visits to your dentist and your physician for check ups. If inflammation is detected during your hygiene visit, it will be addressed by your hygienist and dentist. A treatment plan will be made to resolve the issue.

Hygienists in our team are all competent Washington State licensed expanded-duties participants. This means that our hygienists regularly administer nitrous oxide and local anesthetic. They are also very experienced in placing fillings and sealants both in front and back teeth.
